Page redirection

In this article you will learn:

When to do add URL redirects

If you move a store from another platform, then you should add redirects. This way you avoid situations where Google remembers the previously indexed page and when you click on it you will see the 404 page. Otherwise, make a redirect to link the old link structure to the new one. This way, your customers will still be on the right page.

How to add a sitemap.xml file

Go to Marketing > SEO > go to the 'URL redirects' section and click on '+ Generate site redirects'

Enter the sitemap.xml file address and click on 'save changes'.

This way all the links from the previous page will be redirected to the main page automatically. This way, no one will point to an address with a 404 error. You can edit and point to a specific subpage in your store.

How to add a redirection manually

Go to Marketing > SEO > go to the 'URL redirects' section and click on '+Redirect address'

Give the old path and where it should lead to.

Additional Clauses in Checkout

During the process of finalizing the order, you can give the option to mark different types of clauses.

Go to 'Settings' > 'General' > Scroll down to 'Additional Clauses in Checkout'.

Here you can add new clauses and edit existing ones.

Sign up for the newsletter

Your customers can sign up for the newsletter in two ways:

  • By completing the form on your store
  • Or express the desire to sign up while placing an order

If your theme does not have a newsletter subscription field, then you can choose another theme, create a new one using the theme builder or write to us and request to add such a pop-up to your current theme. Depending on the project, this will have an additional charge.

How to send messages?

Shoplo doesn't provide a direct way to send newsletters to customers. To send one you need an account on one of the following platforms:

Active Campaign
Please note that the use of their services may involve additional costs.

Integrating them with Shoplo is very easy. Just install the appropriate integration.

Once you've merged Shoplo with one of your marketing email providers, the subscribed customers will be on the right list where you can send messages.

How to offer a discount for the newsletter subscription?

Create a discount voucher according to this article. When making a voucher, choose the option one voucher per customer. In this way, every customer will be able to take advantage of the discount only once. Then put this code in the welcome message, which is sent immediately after the customer signs up for the newsletter.

Additional code in the HEAD and BODY sections

With some integrations, you can get the appropriate code, which should be included in the theme's code in the HEAD or BODY section.

In order to make it easier for you, we have prepared a special place in the dashboard. You don't have to edit the code yourself.

Go to Settings> General> Additional code - 'Head' and 'Body' section

Paste the code and click on save changes. If you have more than one code to add, paste them one by one.

Google Analytics

Shoplo supports and recommends using Universal Analytics.

In this article you will learn:

How to add UA code and enable Universal Analytics in Shoplo?
