Support for templates and applications
Shoplo provides technical support for the themes and applications developed only by Shoplo. If you have a problem with an application or a theme from other authors - you should contact them.
In your Shoplo store, you have access to the HTML editor. Please note that if you make any changes to the theme code yourself, then your theme will loose its warranty and support.
If you want to add a new functionality to your theme, you can always write to us. We will price such service, depending on the complexity of the changes. After your approval, we will make the corresponding modifications and you will still retain support and warranty on the theme.
Favicon is an icon that appears next to your store name, browser tab or address bar.
It will also appear under the Favorites tab.
1. Prepare a 16x16 or 32x32 pixel PNG file.
2. Go to 'Layout' > Click on the three dots > Click on 'HTML editor'.
3. Go to the section 'Assets'.
4. Click on 'Add a file' at the bottom of the list and upload your file prepared in step one.
Using a custom font
In a Shoplo store, you can use your own font.
You can either install it yourself or outsource it to us. To do this, please contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.

You can display a footer navigation by following this two simple steps:
Create the navigation
Go to Layout > Click on 'Navigation'.
You can use the already existing Footer navigation. Add the appropriate links to it.
If your theme allows you to add additional navigation in the footer, add another navigation.
Link the appropriate navigation in the theme settings
Go to 'Layout' > Click on 'Theme settings'.
From the right menu, select 'Footer'.
Make sure the option 'Show first menu' is selected, and from the drop-down list for the second menu, select which navigation to display.
Navigation / main menu
The main menu is a list of links that will lead you to other previously created store pages.
You can freely edit the menu by including links to product pages, categories, informational pages or other web pages.

How does the navigation look like right after I create a store?
In each of our templates, by default, there is a menu with the following items:
- Home - Leads to the store's main page
- Shop - Leads to a category list page that has been added to the store
- About us - Page about you and your business
- Contact - Page with a contact form for customers
Edit the main menu
Go to Layout > click on the Navigation tab.
You will change the main menu in the first section from the top - Main menu.
If you want to edit an existing page, click on the small pen symbol on the right side:
In the window that pops up, you can change the name of the link and choose to which page this link will lead:
If you choose a product, category, collection, vendor or home page, in the next step you'll be able to select the specific item.
If you want to redirect the customer to another page/domain that's not listed, select 'URL".
If you select 'Category List', you will be redirecting the customer to the category listing page of your store.
Click on 'Save Changes' and you're done.
How do I add a menu link?
Go to Layout > Click on the Navigation tab > Click on Add link.
Give the link a name and decide to which page this link will redirect:
You can choose:
- Homepage - Clicking on the link will display the main page of your store
- Product - Select the product you want to display
- Category - Select the category you want to display
- Collection - Select the collection you want to display
- URL - You can enter any URL. Use it if you need to link to a different place than your store. You can also enter # - then this link will be inactive.
- Vendor - Select the vendor whose products you want to display
- Category list - Display a list of all your product categories
- Blog - Select the blog you want to display
Click on 'Save changes'.
How to change the order of links
Change the order of links by grabbing them and moving them to the desired place.
If you know HTML, CSS, JS, Smarty, and you want to make advanced changes to your theme, you can do so via the HTML editor. You will find it in the 'Layout' tab.
On the left side you'll see all HTML files. Select the one you want to edit, make all modifications, and click on 'Save changes'.
Remember that if you modify the theme yourself, the theme will loose its warranty and support.
How to customize a theme
Each theme can be customized to suit better your brand, giving it your personal touch. You can change the colours, fonts or sizes of each individual element.
To make changes:
Log into your dashboard and go to the 'Layout' tab, then click on 'Theme settings'.
You will be redirected to your store preview page. On the right side, you will find the Layout settings bar. The changes you make will be immediately visible on the preview.
By clicking on each icon, you can make a selection of colours, fonts, upload a logo, background, and you can also add settings for the footer, page and product listing.
When you are done, click on the arrow at the top left side to go back and click on 'Save'.
Edit inactive themes
You can edit any inactive theme.
Go to 'Layout' > On the theme you want to edit, click on three dots and select the action you want to perform.
You can choose between:
- Customize the theme (Theme settings)
- HTML editor
- Download theme
- Duplicate theme
You can make the same changes on inactive themes as on the active ones.
This will create a new layout for your store without interrupting its operation.
During the initial setup, you can use the Cover theme and start building a mailing list before officially opening your store.
How to upload your own theme
In Shoplo we give you access to the HTML code.
This means that you can create your own theme completely.
Make sure you create it according to our technical documentation: https://docs.shoplo.com/designers (available only in Polish).
Upload your ready theme to your dashboard by going to 'Layout' > Click on 'Upload your own theme'. Then activate it, so it will be visible in your store.

Is the theme builder free of charge?
Yes. The theme builder is available to our customers free of charge. You can use it during the trial period and after you have paid for your subscription.
Can I use the theme I created with Shoplo's theme builder for stores outside Shoplo?
The themes created with Shoplo's theme builder are copyrighted by Shoplo, so they can't be used on other eCommerce platforms. You can't also sell them as your own.
Can I create a theme inspired in an already existing theme?
The theme builder allows you to create many configurations. It's really up to you to decide which elements you want to use for your theme. You can inspire yourself with the look of other themes or rely on your own imagination.
Does Shoplo support the theme I created?
Of course! Any theme generated with the theme builder is treated the same as our other themes and we will support it by correcting any errors. Upon customer's request, our programmers can also make modifications to the theme (the cost of any modification is determined individually).
Can I edit an already created theme?
Themes that are already saved can't be sent back to the theme builder to be edited.
However, the theme builder will always remember your last project. This way, when you re-enter the theme builder, you can choose whether to start from scratch or continue editing your last project. After the changes have been saved, a new separate theme will be created with the default settings.
Can I make a live preview?
While you are building a theme in the theme builder you can see its preview with sample images. Previewing your store with your products is only possible after you've finished working on the theme and you've installed it in your store.
Is there a limit on page elements?
We have not set a limit, but you have to keep in mind that the more items, the longer the page will need to load.
Which elements are mandatory?
When you create a theme, you must add a footer and any other element from the content container.
Why can't I edit the footer and header on other pages?
These are permanent elements for all pages. When you select the footer and header in your main page, these elements will appear on all other pages.
On the home and product list pages, there is the same element name "grid". What is the difference of this element between those two pages?
That element is a grid of products that looks basically the same on both pages. On the product list (on the category section), you can additionally put a category list on the left, which is a side menu.

Choosing a theme
Choosing a theme is a very important step when you're building your store. In order to select a theme go to 'Layout' > Click on 'More themes' or go directly to our theme gallery.
Here, you will find dozens of beautiful, functional and ready-to-use themes. Most of them are free. Just install the theme of your choice and you're done.
On the theme store, you can see the following info for each theme: name, price, a demo and an option to read more details.
After clicking on 'Details' you will see a description of the theme, the possibility to see a demo store, and the author information. Shoplo does not support themes from other authors.
Choosing a theme is a matter of personal taste. Choose the one that suits you best. You can always install a few and see how your store and products will look with them.
Add a theme to your store
If you already decided which theme you want, click "Start with this theme" and the theme will be installed in your store.
You can find all themes you installed in the 'Layout' section, under 'Installed themes'.
How to activate a theme?
Every theme will be inactive after installation. If you want it to be visible to your customers, click on "Activate". (Layout > Installed Themes > Activate)

Which elements affect the store's appearance?
The look of your store consists of a few elements:
In Shoplo, you have dozens of beautiful free themes available. Choose one and install it on your store. If you don't find the right one for you, you can always create your own theme using the theme creator. Just drag and drop the appropriate items. You don't need to program anything!
This is the main menu on the page. Thanks to it, your customers can easily navigate your store.
These are single pictures or photo slideshows. With banners, you can show off your latest collection, inform customers about promotions and sales and more. Every photo in the banner can lead to another page in your store.
Products with pictures
A list of products with no photos will look bad. Make sure they are in great quality. Set up some good lighting, find a good background and show your product off. Consider hiring a professional photographer to really make your images attractive.
Creating a drop down menu
In the main navigation you can create a drop down menu.
Go to 'Layout' > Click on the 'Navigation' tab.
Follow this three easy steps:
1. In the main navigation, add the link that should be shown as a drop-down menu.
Click on 'Add link' > Enter the name, e.g.: Category.
If you do not want this link to be clickable, select 'URL' in the URL field and type "#".
2. Create a second navigation with the exact same name as the link you just created.
3. Add all relevant links to your navigation. They will be displayed as a drop down menu.

How to change the map and images on the contact page?
On the contact page, you can change the map and images.
You can change the map in two simple steps:
How to generate a map code?
Go to the page maps.google.com
In the upper left corner, enter your address and search for it.
Then click on 'Share'.
Then select 'Embed map' and copy the link
Now you can put this code on the 'Contact' page of your store.
How to place a map eg. on the contact page?
Go to Pages & Blogs > Pages and click on the contact page. If you do not have one, you can create it in with the help of this article.
Then, when editing the page content, select HTML Editor (<>).
Remove the old code and paste the new one. Now you can click on 'Save changes'.
Replacing images on the contact page
Go to 'Pages & blogs' > Pages > Contact
Delete the existing photos. Add new ones by clicking on the 'Image' icon.
Banners help you inform your customers about new products, promotions or sales, and direct them directly to the appropriate pages in your store.
In this article you will learn:
What type of banners are available?
Banners can be:
- a single photo
- a group of photos displayed next to each other
- a slider of changing images.
A frame is a single image in the banner.
How to add banners
Go to Layout > Theme settings.
In the place where you can add banners you will see the photo icon and the message "click here to add a banner"
Click. You will see the following message:
Then select images from your disk or drop them over the designated area. Remember to save changes after you add photos.
How to edit banners:
As soon as you add photos or if you return to editing the banner you will see three tabs:
These settings are only available for banners that are slides. They apply to all frames (pictures) at the same time.
Select whether images should change automatically, set the effect when changing to the subsequent frame, and choose how many seconds you want to show the next image.
You can also add arrows to facilitate manual change to the next frame.
In this tab, you can add captions to the image. Enter a title, description, select their colour, size and position in relation to the image.
Remember that you can edit these fields individually for each image.
Here you can specify where the customer should be redirected when they click on the selected image and, optionally, you can add the ALT parameter.
