Using variables in email templates

Email templates are a great way to send automated emails to your customers when something happens (or doesn't happen) with their order. You can also include variables in an email. Variables are little pieces of information (name, address, order number, items purchased etc), specific to each and every individual customer of yours.

It is important that if you want to use these variables in your template, the information must be between these little guys:

{    }

These guys have a lot of names. Braces, curly brackets, squiggly brackets. We will refer to them as braces.

 We can make email templates to be used in 5 different situations:

  1. Update order status

     2. Order’s confirmation

     3. Abandoned cart.

     4. Cancel order

     5. Order payment confirmation.

Variables available in 'Updating order status':

You can attach this email template to a specific order status. When you change the status of a specific order, an email will be sent to the customer.
