Writing terms of use for my store.

Each online store should have its own terms of use, which will define terms related to transaction between customer and store owner.

Of course you can write it yourself based on templates available elsewhere on the internet. This is the most economic way, but you need to make changes and corrections yourself due to the requirements of Office of Competition and Consumer Protection or other department. Consumer laws vary from country to country and sometimes even state to state, so its safest to jump on Google and check out what applies to the area you are in.

The second option, is contracting it out to a third party who specialise in writing these terms of use. This way may more convenient, comfortable and ultimately safer but it ultimately is another expense.

Regardless of your decision, make sure that you are aware of any changes to consumer law and update your policy accordingly.
